For several generations they seem to have been in north-east Norfolk, England.

John is thought to have been bborn in Bacton, Norfolk, England and baptised on 6 February 1769. John's parents may have been - John Crask and Mary Ward^[2].

John Crask & Susannah (Susan) Neve

John and Susannah were married on either 11 or 19 January 1807 in Northrepps, Norfolk, England^[1]. There are two entries in Ref 1. Ref 3 has the date as 13th.

They were married in the parish church, St Mary The Virgin.

Susannah was baptised on 25 June 1776 in Smallburgh, Norfolk, England.

Her parents were Samuel Neve and Mary^[1,2].

John was working as a a Bricklayer when Francis Neve was married in 1842.

John and Susannah had (at least) the following children:-

Anne Neve Crask, bap 18 April 1807^[1].
Sarah Ann Crask, bap 30 October 1808^[1].
James William Crask b ca 1810
Francis Howe Neve Crask bap 16 December 1812^[1].
Elizabeth Christiana Crask, bap 27 December 1814^[1].
William Valentine Crask, bap 16 February 1817^[1].
Emmariah Christiana Crask, bap 7 January 1819^[1].
Mary Ann Crask, bap 12 May 1821^[1].
Thomas Edmund Crask, bap 7 May 1823^[1].
Susannah Craske, bap 17 August 1824^[1].
Jonathan Neve Crask, bap 7 May 1826^[1].

All these children were baptised in St Mary's, Northrepps.

Only James William, Francis Neve and Mary Ann have been traced further at this stage.
They all found their way to Victoria, Australia.
