Herbert was born in late 1868 in Dukinfield probably at his parents' home[1,3].
According to the 1871 UK Census, Herbert was aged 2 years and living with parents at 20 Astley Street, Dukinfield[3].

In 1881 Herbert aged 12 years was a Scholar and lived with his parents at 194 Astley Street, Dukinfield[4]. 1881 UK Census
In 1891 Herbert was working as a Clerk but we don't know what business he worked in. He was still lving at home at 196 Astley Street[5].

Marriage
In early 1898, Herbert married Sarah Ellen Sherliker in Manchester[7,8].
Sarah Ellen Sherliker was born on 23 July 1870 and baptised on 21 August 1879 at St Mary's, Lancaster, Lancashire,
England. Her parents were Joseph Sherliker and Annie Smith[9,12]. At the time of her baptism, the family lived at Upper King Street, Lancaster and Joseph worked as a Stonemason[12].

In 1901, Herbert, Sarah Ellen were living at 102 Crawford Street,
Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire. Herbert worked as an Estate Agent's Clerk and Sarah as aa Cotton Card Room Hand. Hs surname is spelt Kynder.

In 1911, Herbert and Sarah Ellen were at 178 Albemarle Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire. Herbert worked as a Commercial Traveller for a brewing company[10]. The census record states that they had one child but that child has already died.

Herbert died in early 1936[11].
Nothing definte yet found for Sarah Ellen. There is a possble
death --- Sarah Ellen Kinder, aged 81, died 1952, Ashton-under Line,
