Percy was born in 1874 in Dukinfieldprobably at his parents' home[1].
In 1881, Percy was living with his parents at 194 Astley Street, Dukinfield[2]. Percy was noted as a Scholar born in Dukinfield.

In 1891 Percy was aged 16 years and lied with his parents at 196 Astley Street. Percy's occupated was stated as Clerk[3].

In 1901, Percy now aged 26 years, unmarried, worked as a Commercial Traveller and still lived with his parents at 196 Astley Street,
Dukinfield[4].

In 1911, Percy and his parents were still at 196 Astley Street. He worked as an Auxillary Postman. He was then 36 years old, unmarried[5]. He probably never married.

Percy enlisted in the British Army on 26 July 1918. He was 43 years and 10 months old and worked as a Postman and unmarried.
His home address was stated as 196 Astley Street, Dukinfield. He
was medically examined on 8 May 1918 at Stockport, Cheshire. He
was slightly built at 5 feet 7½ inches tall, weighed 130 pounds and had
light brown hair and blue eyes. He carried a scar on the right
side of his face and stated that he sufferred from gastric trouble.
Percy was posted to the Royal Engineers and served as a Sapper. His Regimental Number was 366288.
Percy suffered a casualty (unreadable) on 17 January 1919 and was demobilised on 14 february 1919.
Death
There is a death indexed for Percy Kinder, aged 73 registered in Hyde, Cheshire in 1947. This is likely to be him[6,7].
