Biography |
She was baptised at St Martinus Roman Catholic Church, as Maria Elisabetha[1,2]. Her godparents were named as Franz Rinck and Maria Elisabeth Schneiders. She is sometimes referred to as Anna. I think she was probably called Elisabeth. |
On 10 February 1784, as Anna Elisabetha, she married Joseph Lövenich at St Martinus Roman Catholic Church, Aldenhoven[1,3]. The witnesses were Arnold Lövenich and Theodor Rosen (certainly this was Johannes Theodorus, her brother). Arnold may have been Joesph's brother. |
A review of the
residents of
Aldenhoven in 1799[4]
mentions Anna Elisabeth living at Marktfestestrasse 26. Her
occupation was Day
Labourer (Tagelöhnerin). This record also states Anna
Elisabeth’s death on 23 December 1819 and that she was 58 years
old. Her
first son, Arnold was also living with them. His age was stated to be 13
years. Living in the same house was her mother, Maria Sibylla Rinck and Ludwig Lövenich and his wife Magdalena Moll. Ludwig may have been the head of the house. Ludwig may have been an uncle or older brother of Josef. |
Joseph must have died sometime before 1799 but his death record has not yet been found. Maria Elisabeth died on 23 December 1819 in Aldenhoven. Her death certificate notes that she is the widow of Joseph Lovenich[8]. |

Later also, Arnold was named godfather of Elisabeth Petronella Roosen at her baptism in Harderwijk in 1811[6]. He would have been 37 years old at this time. ![]() Elizabeth Petronella Roosen b 1811 Baptism Entry

There are a great
many Lövenich names listed in the St Martinus registers but I
have not made many connections to this family.
